Congratulations to the Rationality Enhancement Group on two abstracts being accepted for the first round of submissions for the ClearerThinking.org micro grants!
Ella Eisemann, Hernán González and Falk Lieder's abstract successfully made it through the first of three rounds for a ClearerThinking micro grant. Their abstract - “Get Going” - explains a tool they are developing to help people overcome procrastination with simple steps and easily accessible help. Their tool helps people learn to find the root of their procrastination and deal with it step by step.
- "We predict that our tool will help users overcome procrastination by providing them with concrete strategies for addressing the issues that they need the most help with." - Ella Eisemann, Hernán González and Falk Lieder
Falk Lieder's abstract “Are you living your values?” also passed the first round. It is about helping people reflect on the extent to which they are living their values. Falk is developing an optional add-on to Clearer Thinking's online tool the Intrinsic Value Test that lets people track what matters most in their lives. In this project, people reflect on their life satisfaction and values. They use this to evaluate how this corresponds with their recent past. By using reminders, people are supported in their desire to live up to their full potential in alignment with their values.
- "We predict that allowing people to track how well they are living their values and encouraging them to identify ways to live their values more fully will significantly increase their wellbeing." - Falk Lieder
